Satnav giants TomTom have introduced a new top-of-the-range model called the GO 930T.
As you’d expect from a high-end satnav device, the 930T is dripping with maps and navigation features, including a pair of completely new technologies: IQ Routes, which uses actual historical TomTom user data to plot the quickest route to your destination (it used to be clever guesswork); and Advanced Lane Guidance, which enhances the on-screen map with building footprints, road signs and lane directions – the idea being that it makes working out where you need to turn/switch lanes a lot easier.
Other features include a 4.3-inch touch screen, voice input (you just speak the address rather than type it in), enhanced positioning using motion sensors (so it knows where you are even when it loses the GPS signal), maps of Western Europe, USA, Canada and Russia stored in the internal memory, and loads, loads more.
It’s due to launch next month.
